About us
Dhimay – promotes Nepali Music and Artists.
The mission that Dhimay envisions is to promote Nepali Music and Artists as per its capacity. It is based on Charlotte, NC and it operates in this area and beyond.
What We Believe
There are two forms of sound – music and noise. Music is what pleases our sense of hearing. It depends on numerous factors and varies from person to person. Music cannot be limited to genres.
Kuma Sagar and The Khwopa – Rara Talaima
Rara Talaima is a beautiful musical creation by Kuma Sagar and The Khwopa. This song honors the rich language, culture, and natural beauty of Nepal’s far-west and Karnali regions. Inspired by the mesmerizing Rara Lake, one
of Nepal’s most iconic tourist destinations, this song celebrates the region’s traditional music.
The main interest in creating Rara Talaima was to preserve and highlight the unique musical heritage of these areas, which often goes unrecognized.
Our Activities
We produce musical shows and concerts in Charlotte and surrounding cities. We organize and manage multiple types of musical events. We offer a platform for various generations to appreciate and experience Nepali music.
We also educate kids on subjects like STEAM, musical culture and instruments.
Dhimay helped me with an acoustic show in Charlotte back in October 2022. It was a great night and it was fun to work with them. I look forward to collaborate again.
